              "Mein
              Stern" by Valeska Grisebach
This Austrian film, shot in German, won the Special Award at FIPRESCI
and the Best Film Award in Turin.

"Mein Stern" is about the life of modern teenagers in
Berlin. Modern life in modern society always includes sex. Sex on
the television, sex everywhere, sex among teenagers....

She's only 14, yet she notices next door boy. Longing to enter the
world of grown ups, she sleeps with him, thinking that their love
will last forever. Well, it seems that some things don't change...

We all have been teenagers, we all know about first love and about
              first sex.
This is a teenage drama made for grown ups, not for teenagers, with
the teenagers shown in a typical and urban realistic way. Sometimes,
if it seems the actors do not act, it?s because the actors in this
              film are real teenagers.
