Pulp Fiction

Once every decade or so
the mainstream middlebrow critics
achieve orgasm by overpraising
some (usually) good,
or
even very good movie
(they really need to get out more)
And
Pulp Fiction was the honored guest at its decade's orgy
When they gave it the highest praise they could think of,
calling it original,
they
forgot
the poet's definition of originality:
-an artist
or a work of art
whose influences the reviewer
is unfamiliar with
