How are you doing with the NaPoWriMo challenge (30 poems in 30 days)? Remember, there’s still time to get caught up, even if it means writing two or more poems a day! Today, of course, is Earth Day, which is the basis of today’s prompt:
- Write a poem inspired by nature. If you like, use one of the traditional forms associated with nature poems, such as the eclogue, haiku and renga, all explained at the Poets.org page on Nature Poems. The page also contains a lot of examples. Or write a poem in a form of your choosing. If the weather cooperates, take a few moments outside (or open the window) for inspiration.
