Today’s prompt is related to a common Sunday activity for many people:
- Write a crossword poem, using a form developed by poet Peter Valentine, who writes daily poems using the New York Times crossword puzzle. In his own words, there are three parts to the poem: “Part 1, across clue words only; part 2 is words found in the down clues; part 3, use the answer grid. The title can come from anywhere in the puzzle, and don’t get hung up on solving the puzzle… cheat!” You can find example poems on his Facebook page.
