For a busy Monday, as the month of April winds down, here’s a prompt that may just write itself:
- Write an animal poem. Your subject can be a pet, a wild animal, a zoo animal, or a figment of your imagination. For some terrific examples of animal poems that avoid being sentimental or “cutesy,” check out this selection of animal poems from Poets.org.
