Part of  Wild Violet’s mission is to support independent writers and artists. With that in mind, on my author’s blog, I have created a post where writers, artists, musicians, filmmakers and crafters can list their goods in order to make it easier for holiday buyers. La Grande Salle at the festival The 2011 Festival International Du Film D’Animation in Annecy, France, included exclusive screenings of studio short films by leading American studios. The entire festival was dedicated to the American animation studio industry. The festival program covered a variety of topics, ranging from animation to production and computer graphics as well as the presentation of 18 special awards, also known as Crystals. Submission Do’s and Don’ts

  While getting caught up on Wild Violet’s backlog of mailed submissions, I have been keeping a list of do’s and don’ts: DON’T over-package your submission. A submission that arrives in a plastic sleeve, like a junior-high book report, stands out for the wrong reasons. DON’T include extra promotional materials in your submission. Unless you are sending a book for review, and the materials are relevant to that book, sending business cards or promotional cards is simply a waste of your money.
